February Workshop Details and Hotel Recommendations

The first workshop 2/4/20-2/5/20 will be hosted by by Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.

Day 1 Tour and Executive Speaker – Stickney Water Reclamation Plant, 6001 West Pershing Road, Cicero, IL 60804. The visitor parking lot is located on the right-hand side, before the security gate. Please have a picture ID available for security.

March Workshop Details and Hotel Recommendations

The second workshop 3/3/20-3/4/20 will be hosted by New Water, Green Bay.

Day 1 Tour and Executive Speaker – NEW Water, 2231 N. Quincy St, Green Bay, WI 54302. The campus is secure and participants will need to buzz the intercom located at the entry gates and notify the receptionist they are attending the Core Growth workshop. Once you have parked, enter the Administration building near the flagpole. Participants will need to bring/wear closed toed shoes appropriate for walking around the facility and NEW Water will provide safety glasses and safety vests.

The third workshop 4/7/20-4/8/20 will be hosted by Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District.

Day 1 Tour and Executive Speaker – Madison Metro Sewerage District, 1 Maintenance Facility 610 Moorland Road, Madison, WI 53713. The Maintenance Facility is the new building facing Moorland Road. For the tour dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed toed shoes.

The fourth workshop 5/5/20-5/6/20 will be hosted by Metropolitan Council Environmental Services in St. Paul.

Day 1 Tour and Executive Speaker – Metro Plant, 2400 Childs Road St. Paul MN 55106. All attendees will need to wear closed toed shoes for the plant tour. Hard hats and safety glasses will be provided. Open outdoor parking is available at the plant, but parking is limited so carpooling is recommended.

Region 5 Schedule

The Region 5 schedule includes all program dates between now and June 2020.

We will be sending you calendar appointments for all tours, workshops and webinars outlined in the schedule. Your mentor will also receive a calendar appointment for their orientation webinar. The appointments will include pertinent details such as location, parking and building access.

Region 5 on-site events for Core Growth 2020 will be hosted by the following utilities:

Core Consulting will print the number of classroom learning hours on your graduation certificate. If you have a need for more details documentation regarding CEU’s, please contact Michelle Easton (michelle.easton@contact-core.com) by December 16 and let her know your requirements.

Each participant will be asked to complete three online assessments as pre-work for the first workshop. Specific information will be sent via email from Michelle Easton.

Each emerging leader can expect to commit approximately 12 hours per month (not inclusive of travel time).
On average, company mentors will devote 1-2 hours per month to the program. This time will be spent coaching and mentoring the emerging leaders. The mentor will also be asked to complete a brief online program assessment to help measure progress and results.
All mentors are expected to attend a webinar orientation in January. This webinar will cover the role of the mentor in more detail and inform the mentor about what the emerging leaders will be going through over the course of the six-month program.
